Pre Care & Post Care Instructions
Proper care before and after your appointment is essential to achieving beautiful, long-lasting results. These guidelines are designed to prepare your skin, support a smooth healing process, and ensure optimal pigment retention and overall results.
To ensure optimal results and smooth healing, please follow these instructions carefully:
-
No caffeine (coffee, energy drinks, pre-workout) 24 hours before your appointment.
No alcohol 24 hours before your appointment.
No NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin) 24 hours before your appointment.
No Botox in the forehead area for 4 weeks before your appointment (and avoid 1 week after).
No antibiotics 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your appointment.
No tanning in a tanning bed or direct sun exposure 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after.
No retinol facial products 1 week prior and 4 weeks after your appointment.
No facial treatments (such as peels, laser, microdermabrasion, or brow services) until your brows are fully healed.
These steps help minimize irritation, prevent excessive bleeding, and improve pigment retention so your results look their best.
-
Everything you need for aftercare will be provided at your appointment, but here’s what to expect and how to care for your brows:
Days 1–3:
Starting 1.5–2 hours after your procedure, gently wipe brows in the direction of hair growth with the provided Angel Care Wipe.
Lightly pat dry, then apply a very small amount of Angel Care Gel (about rice-size per brow).
Repeat this cleaning every 3 hours until day 4.
Days 4–7:
Stop using the wipes.
Apply small rice-size amounts of Angel Care Gel throughout the day (about 3–4 times).
On day 8, discontinue use of Angel Care Gel.
-
Do not scrub or pick at your brows at any time during the healing process.
No sun tanning or tanning beds: Avoid sun exposure for 10 days and tanning beds for 14 days. Wear a hat or sunglasses if outdoors.
Keep brows dry: No swimming pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, heavy sweating, or sauna use for 7 days.
No water exposure: Do not get your brows wet in the shower for the first 7 days — plastic shower visors will be provided.
Avoid makeup or brow tint on the treated area for 10 days.
No lotions, creams, cleansers, or moisturizers on the brow area for 10 days.
No facials, facial massages, eyelash extensions, brow waxing, or laser treatments for 14 days.
PLEASE NOTE: Failing to follow these instructions can lead to pigment loss, infection, or prolonged healing time.
Healing Process
-
Days 1–3 – Bold & Fresh:
Your brows will look dark, sharp, and defined, with possible redness or warmth around the area. This is completely normal and temporary as your skin begins to heal.
-
Days 5–7 – Peeling Phase:
The brows will flake or shed naturally. Avoid picking, scratching, or exfoliating, as disturbing the skin can affect the pigment and results.
-
Color Fades Temporarily:
During peeling, the brows may appear much lighter or even seem to disappear. This is a normal part of the process; the pigment is settling beneath the skin.
-
Around Day 14:
The color will start to reappear and settle to a softer, more natural shade—usually about 30% lighter than immediately after the procedure.
-
Full Healing (30 Days):
Complete healing takes roughly 30 days. The brows will be softer, natural, and long-lasting. Minor variations in color, light spots, or slight imperfections are normal and part of the healing process.
-
6–8 Week Touch-Up:
This appointment is essential for adding any missing strokes, correcting color inconsistencies, and finalizing the perfect shape. Skipping the touch-up may result in incomplete or uneven results and faster fading.
